We are going to the Zoo Zoo Zoo...

I especially took leave in order to spend some time with my baby. Decided to go to the zoo on Friday. It's been about 15 years since I last went to the zoo. I'm sure I'm in for a ride.
I recommend the zoo to all couples out there who are complaining that there is nothing to do in Singapore. Well, there is the zoo! It's only $18 per person for a "wild" time. The only memory I had of the zoo when I was young, were the parrots at the entrance. Hey... still there! There are too many animals to blog about, I'm just going to post some of funnier pictures. See if you can guess which animal is in the background!Erm... cockroach? I thought they were trying too hard to incorporate Singapore's history into the zoo. Talked about what pesky animals we encountered in Singapore's younger days.Besides animals, there were many little huts which we can learn more about the animals, like where are they from, what do they eat, how big is their foot, etc etc...What's my favorite animal? It has to be the polar bear... because 1) good looks 2) powerful 3) cool. Not unlike me.Of course, what's the zoo without their shows? Watched the "land" show and the "sea" show. Did have some flash backs at this point. There was even a boat ride in Upper Seletar Reservoir where we caught some eagles and kingfishers. I recommend the zoo to all Singaporeans. If you have not been to the zoo within the last 10 years, you'll be amazed at what it has to offer.

Number 148

For those who are not getting married, I'm going to talk about something that will bore you.

Well well, last night the results for the September flat balloting exercise was out.

For the 5-room Kallang/Whompoa flat category, there were a total of 64 available flat units.

Guess what, our queue number is 148. The result says that it is highly unlikely we will get it.

Actually, I'm quite okay, cause housing prices are going to drop, and although the Kallang flat is in a good location (near town), the pricing is pretty steep between $480,000 - $550,000. That's a whooping half a million dollars. =P

Looks like we have to wait for the next balloting exercise.

No worries! God shall supply all my need. =>

What can you buy with $2?

Recently, the price of COE for small cars had dropped to $2.

Which means a COE right now costs as much as
  • a plate of chicken rice or
  • a bowl of durian ice-kachang
  • 8 pieces of chee kwey or
  • a Macdonalds double-cheese burger
  • a cai fan meal at my company canteen
This coupled with the low price of cars now, is a tempting combo for me to get a car now. And me and Joyce have decided that if we were to buy a car, it would be the Suzuki SX4. Around $50,900 for now.

Pastor always teaches us to live a life free from debt as far as possible. Of course, in Singapore, you have to take a loan in order to buy a HDB home. So that can't be helped. But as for cars, i can live without it.

First things first. Home first followed by car.

You can't live in a tin can with wheels.

Going to take sometime to brag about my club.

Well well well... Revival has come to white hart lane.

Having starting badly with only 2 points after 8 games, rooted to the bottom of the league, Spurs has seen miracles happen since the arrival of new manager Harry Redknapp.

Hail Redknapp!

He has not lost since he has taken over, with great results...

Spurs 2-0Bolton

Spurs 4-4 Arsenal

Spurs 2-1 Liverpool

Spurs 4-0 Dinamo Zegrab (Uefa Cup)

Spurs 2-1 Manchester City

Spurs 4-2 Liverpool (League Cup)

Hail Redknapp!

It's not how you begin. It's how you end. =>

Farewell Chalet

Had our Farewell chalet for Saybin last Saturday. Once again, it was very fun. And Once again, we had wii (Refer to older posts).
Something about our team. We just love wii. Especially when you have it on the big projetor.
with 4 controllers. Its very very fun.
Basically, we played Mario Kart. Very fun on 4 players. I loved the outer space map. We kept falling into space, all 4 of us ended up being in the last 4 places.
Obviously, there was food in the chalet. One thing about our team. We don't like to cook. We want instant food. Yup, these hotdogs were catered in. Guess as you grow older, you don't like to dirty your hands. Haha.
Not forgetting the star of the show. Ah bin... Weird as always. Hahaha!

The older people in the team... Haha... Cedric, Layeng and Me! Macho!
We took lots of photos, cause we didn't know when we can gather like this again. Am I missing something? hmm... haha... Davis and Wanleng... I knew it!
What's our team without some bullying? Bully who? Of course ah bin... He is flying to America soon. Make the best out of it.

Poke Poke Poke!I love my colleagues. We are there for each other.

Till we meet again! Hoho...
